My Beautiful Blaine Devon,
As you start off on your journey to start to finish out your
senior year at Dalton Academy For Boys, I need to remind you of something. You’re
the most important thing in my world. After singing ‘Begin Again’ by Taylor
Swift with you, today…I wanted to give you something special. Something
important from me that you could take with you when I’m not there. I snuck down
into the studio when I got home from dinner with Dan (who by the way, made your
Mama cry. Different conversation for a different time) and recorded a bunch of
songs that you can listen to when you need me, and I can’t be at Dalton. These
songs are significant to me for a bunch of different reasons, but two in
particular are the most important.
My son, I love you more than words can say. Carry my songs
in your heart, and hopefully on that iPod I bought you… (oops, bet you didn’t
know about that! Happy move-in at Dalton day!) and remember, the Montgomerys
will be here at 10am.
