Letter To My Blainers

Remember babies...this is another work of fiction!!!

My Beautiful Blaine Devon,

As you start off on your journey to start to finish out your senior year at Dalton Academy For Boys, I need to remind you of something. You’re the most important thing in my world. After singing ‘Begin Again’ by Taylor Swift with you, today…I wanted to give you something special. Something important from me that you could take with you when I’m not there. I snuck down into the studio when I got home from dinner with Dan (who by the way, made your Mama cry. Different conversation for a different time) and recorded a bunch of songs that you can listen to when you need me, and I can’t be at Dalton. These songs are significant to me for a bunch of different reasons, but two in particular are the most important.

My son, I love you more than words can say. Carry my songs in your heart, and hopefully on that iPod I bought you… (oops, bet you didn’t know about that! Happy move-in at Dalton day!) and remember, the Montgomerys will be here at 10am.

I love you Blaine.

Mama.

Mama Bear, Through And Through

A/N: Again, another work of fiction. Smile babies.

Rumors: How Words Can Hurt:
A First Hand Account by Cheryl Warbler.
Junior Journalist: Vogue.com

MCKINLEY HIGH SCHOOL CAN BLOW ME.

Yeah, I said it. And for all I care, they can. It’s one thing to have someone tell you what’s going on in their lives. It’s another to spread their business all around the school, and then have word get back to the most important person in my life:

My son.

I’m a fucking mama bear at this point. I’m not going to name names, I’m not that petty and ridiculous, but when you hurt the most precious thing in my world, I’m not okay with that. Let’s get a few things straight here students:

1)      My son, made the decision to go back to Dalton on his own. I didn’t influence him.
2)      My son, is my son legally. There’s no underhandedness in it. There were papers signed.
3)      I have never lied to my son about ANYTHING. NOTHING. Except my hair color, but he already knew that.
4)      Thanks to you, my own son doesn’t trust me.

And I’m not okay with that either. So let me lay down some more facts for you. Yes, I’ve known Blaine for almost two weeks. But in those two weeks I’ve seen so much growth. He smiles more. He laughs more. He loves just as hard. I spotted a problem the moment I met him. We were both broken people. That’s what broken people do. They reach out. Blaine needed me just as much as I need him.
My past is in the past for a reason. But this person (or these persons, and once I find out where the rumors started, I will make sure they are addressed) forced me to come clean. I met Blaine in Central Park. I was running from an abusive situation, just like my son was! I have the scars to prove it. Hell, I’ll even take it further…I was forced into selling my body by a guy I thought loved me. And to be honest, I haven’t even told my boyfriend about this yet…so surprise Dan! Sorry…I promise…I’ll call you. I had actually met Kurt two days prior to meeting Blaine. Kurt’s an amazing man. (Baby, I’m sorry you’re being dragged into this. It wasn’t my intention. You’re an asset to me, though). Kurt trusted me enough to let me be around the man I call my son. I knew Blaine needed someone, and I wanted to be that someone.

And I am that someone. McKinley High School, and certain students in particular: you NEVER took the opportunity to get to know my son. Did you care what happened to him? No. I did. I moved my son out of his situation, because it was best for him. Not because there was financial gain coming out of it.

And while I’m being perfectly honest, the money means nothing to me. Nothing.

The only thing that was successful here today, was that you alienated me from my son. My son doesn’t trust me anymore. So thanks for that. Thanks for ruining the best thing that has ever happened to me. I’ll never forgive you for that.

To my son: Blaine, baby…I love you. More than you know. And this, is just another bump in the road. All the things I’ve said to you…completely true. And remember: “I can promise you our life brings, Lies to pain such a sweeter ending.” I love you, so much. And I’m so sorry.

To the people who deliberately hurt my son. You should absolutely be ashamed of yourself. You hurt an angel. A beautiful man. A man who’s strength and love and COURAGE is something that I wish I had. Because let’s face it, I don’t.

I know one thing is for certain. Words can hurt certain people. I need my son back, more than anything else in this entire pathetic world.

I’m leaving you with lyrics to a song. It’s my song to Blaine. I’d sing this to you every hour of every day if I could my angel. I love you.

True Colors: By Cyndi Lauper

You with the sad eyes
Don’t be discouraged
Oh I realize
It’s hard to take courage
In a world full of people
You can lose sight of it all
And the darkness inside of you
Can make you feel so small

But I see your true colors
Shining through
I see your true colors
And that’s why I love you
So don’t be afraid to let them show
Your true colors
True colors are beautiful
Like a rainbow

Show me a smile then
Don’t be unhappy, can’t remember
When I last saw you laughing
If this world makes you crazy
And you’ve taken all you can bear
You call me up
Because you know I’ll be there

And I’ll see your true colors
Shining through
I see your true colors
And that’s why I love you
So don’t be afraid to let them show
Your true colors
True colors are beautiful
Like a rainbow

Blaine's Post For Work

A/N: If you need an explanation about this, you’re ridiculous. But I’m going to give you one, strictly because the internet is a scary place. This is straight out of a roleplay I do. I don’t work for Vogue.com. I’ve never even been to Vogue.com. But…I’m changing things up. So…enjoy my blog post for “Vogue.com”

Experiences Of Sadness…And The Light At The End
A Vogue.com exclusive by Junior writer, Cheryl Warbler

My son is brilliant. He’s a smart boy. When I told him what Isabelle’s prompt to me for this week was, he held my hand. And he loved me. And he wanted to help. He looked me dead square in the eye. He didn’t freak out, and quite frankly…his response surprised me. But when he looked me in the eye, and spoke. I knew.

“Do you need help? I mean maybe it’d be interesting to see about abuse at home. Rather than one type.”

My brilliant Blaine, ladies and gentlemen. So, I’m gonna do something a little bit different. I was supposed to write about abusive relationships and the effects of a person’s mindset, but I’m gonna talk about what Blaine mentioned.

Abuse at home.

Now, I’m not going to tell Blaine’s story. It isn’t mine to tell. But Blaine did give me permission to talk about him. (And let’s face it. My son is perfect, why wouldn’t I talk about him?)

Blaine suffered a lot during his childhood. More than any one person should The abuse he suffered at the hands of someone who “claimed” to love him was heinous.

Nobody should ever have to go through what my precious, sweet son went through. Nobody. And it makes me angry that anyone has to go through that, not just Blaine, but anyone.

A child is a precious gift. Now, I know there are the naysayers out there who will tell me that I have no reason to be preaching about parenting, because I’ve been a parent for a week to a seventeen year old boy. And to those people I say this:

In just a week of being Blaine’s mom, I’ve seen a change in him. A miraculous change. A beautiful change. A young man who was scared and alone, with nobody but his boyfriend to love and support him, is now a smart, sassy CONFIDENT young man. Blaine is my son…we even have a saying.

I removed Blaine from a horrible situation because I had the ability to do so. If your situation at home is horrible, or you think you have nobody to talk to about the situation you’re in…you’re wrong.

Go to a counselor, go to a friend. Talk to someone. Run away. There is never any shame in removing yourself from a dangerous situation. If you don’t feel safe, leave. I ran from Ohio to New York. I ran to Blaine, and Blaine ran to me. Run somewhere if you have the ability to do so.

Those sayings you were wondering about? They’re from the movie ‘Lilo & Stitch’ (one of Blainers’ favorites…but shhh. Don’t tell him I told you.) and they fit our situation perfectly.

“’Ohana means family. Family means nobody gets left behind. Or forgotten.”

“This is my family. I found it, all on my own. Is little, and broken, but still good. Yeah, still good.”

Until next week.

A/N: I don’t even remember where this came from! But I’ve pretty much got the idea nailed down. The boys won’t let me sleep until I write it! So, here!

From Darren:
Don’t go out with anyone from work. I’m taking you out on a date. Go home, change into something casual. Namely the outfit that’s on the bed. Then in an hour, go to Captain Pete’s…it’s where it all began for us. See you later, yeah?

Chris Colfer could’ve sworn that there hadn’t been clothes on the bed an hour ago. He was wondering how they’d gotten there. He knew Darren was up to something. There had been a twinkle in his eye all day. He read the text message and smiled. That’s when he knew Darren was up to something. So, he went and jumped in the shower. After he relaxed and wondered why he was going to Captain Pete’s, he changed into the outfit Darren had picked out. A blue Henley scoop neck shirt that showed off Chris’s collarbones (and the numerous amounts of hickey’s that Darren tended to leave) and complimented his eyes perfectly, and a tight pair of skinny jeans. He looked at his watch and smiled. He knew how to get to Captain Pete’s and also he knew that he was going to be late if he didn’t leave now. So, he smiled thinking about that first night. He wasn’t absentmindedly driving, just wondering what Darren had in mind. Once he got to Captain Pete’s, he smiled. Because he saw his man standing there, looking amazing in a green sweater and black jeans. He also had a picnic basket. Chris parked his car next to Darren’s and then stepped out. He walked over to Darren and smiled softly.

“You look incredible babe.”

Darren said, leaning in to kiss Chris. Chris accepted the kiss and moaned into it. Darren pulled away reluctantly and grabbed Chris’s hand.  Chris noticed there wasn’t a soul around, which was odd, because Captain Pete’s was a miniature golf course, and this was a Friday night. This was when it was usually the busiest.

“Thank you, Dare. You do too. Green always compliments your skin tone. But you knew that. So, why are we at Captain Pete’s Miniature Golf course, and why is it closed?”

“It isn’t closed…per se. It’s closed for a private party.”

Darren smiled and took his hand. Chris knew that Darren had been planning something all day. When he wasn’t filming, he was on the phone to his manager. Now he knew why. Darren smiled at the lady at the counter. He selected two putters and a blue ball for himself, while Chris went for a darker green ball. Leave it to each other to pick golf balls the color of each other’s eyes. Darren led Chris to the first tee, a lighthouse. Chris smiled at the haunting symbolism of it.

“A lighthouse.”

“You know I love lighthouses, babe. We’re only playing five holes. There’s something at hole five that I’ve got all planned out. So, this is where we danced for the first time. Do you remember?”

Chris nodded and swung his putter and watched as the ball headed through the little slot and Chris turned to look at Darren, with all the love in his heart. Chris thought back to that day, as Darren lined up his shot.

Two years previously:

Chris stood there, waiting for Darren to take his shot. He’d heard the dance music slow down into a romantic song, and Darren turned to Chris and smiled. This was one of his favorite songs, and being here with Darren was sort of symbolic. Sure, it was their first date, but Chris had been in love with Darren since that first day they’d met. Darren turned around to look at Chris and smiled warmly at him.

“Dance with me, Christopher?”

Chris nodded, looking around and seeing other couples doing the same thing. He put his putter down, and took Darren’s hand. Darren pulled him close, not caring who saw him. He watched as Chris placed his head on his shoulder. Darren dropped his head and started singing in Chris’s ear.
After the song ended, Darren kissed Chris softly on the lips, knowing that this was going to be the beginning of a beautiful relationship. Chris blushed and turned to take his shot, knowing that he was in love…

Chris knew Darren was planning something. He couldn’t quite put his finger on it, but Darren was recreating their first date in so many ways. They made their way to hole number two, as Chris started to laugh. He remembered that he had so many pictures of Darren straddling the Dinosaur’s tail and trying to do very inappropriate things to the Dinosaur. As Chris lined up his shot first, Darren unabashedly stared at Chris’s ass.

“Mmm…the things I do to that ass.”

“Darren, stop trying to distract me.”

“Why, is it working?”

“Yes, now stop it. I’m trying to sink the hole.”

“I know a hole I’d like to sink.”

Chris blushed deliciously and swung the club, knowing that the ball was going to go wide. Darren chuckled, and squeezed Chris’s ass, before lining up to take his shot. Chris grinned and ran over to distract Darren, so he copped a squeeze too. Chris walked away and grinned at his boyfriend, knowing that Darren was sufficiently distracted, now too.

“Bitch.”

“I know, but you love me. Now come on…put the ball in the hole like a good boy.”

“Christopher, stop it! Do you know what the innuendos are doing to me?”

“I’m counting on it.”

Darren grinned and shook his head. His plan to propose to Chris was going smoothly. The lighthouse memory was still fresh in his brain. He couldn’t believe that this beautiful boy was his. They’d had all kinds of trouble, but whatever problems they’d had, made them stronger as a couple. Darren took Chris’s hand and let them to hole number three. Chris smiled at the cottage. It was a little thing, like some bed and breakfast Darren had taken him to, to celebrate their one year anniversary.

One year previously…

“Ta-da! What do you think?”

Darren asked, removing the silly pink Wayfarers that he always wore. Chris was over the moon about this. They’d seen this place on one of their road trips to see his parents. Chris was shocked that he’d remembered about this place, but when it came to his relationship, Darren remembered everything. Chris walked around the little cottage and smiled.

“It’s as every bit as lovely as I’d thought. Darren, what is this?”

“I know it’s not something big or extravagant, but it’s special. I needed to do something amazing for our anniversary, and a weekend at a bed and breakfast is exactly what is called for. I love you so much, Christopher, and I want our anniversary weekend to be special.”

And Chris started to cry. It had been a truly beautiful weekend. It had flowers and candles and a lot of love making. The perfect way to spend their anniversary. Wrapped up in each other’s arms, with nowhere else to be.

“Where did you go there, Chris?”

“Oh, sorry babe. I was thinking about the B&B.”

Darren walked over to his boyfriend and kissed him softly on the lips. He was going to skip the whole thing. He suddenly wasn’t in the mood to play the rest of the game. So, he took Chris’s putter and put it down. He took Chris’s hand and led him over to the fifth hole. The Eiffel Tower. Well, a replica of the Eiffel Tower. Chris gasped when he took in the scene in front of him. There was a blanket, and a picnic basket and candles everywhere. Chris turned to look at Darren.

“What’s this?”

“I’m going to give you the entire world. But first, I want to sing to you. That song…that we heard on our first date. I’m going to sing it now.”

Darren said, sitting down on the blanket with Chris. He grabbed his guitar and started singing, knowing Chris would know the song, and just how symbolic it was for them.

“From the first day
That I saw your smiling face
Honey, I knew that we would
Be together forever
Ooh when I asked you out
You said no, but I found out
Darling that you’d been hurt
You felt like you’d never love again
I deserve a try honey just once
Give me a chance and I’ll prove this all wrong
You walked in, you were so quick to judge
But honey he’s nothing like me

I’ll never break your heart
I’ll never make you cry
I’d rather die than live without you
I’ll give you all of me
Honey that’s no lie

As time goes by
You will get to know me
A little more better
Girl that’s the way love goes, baby baby
And I (I) know you’re afraid (know you’re afraid)
To let your feelings show (feelings show)
And I understand
Boy, it’s time to let go (boy it’s time to let go, because)
I deserve a try honey
Just once
Give me a chance and I’ll prove this all wrong
You walked in, you were so quick to judge
But darlin’ he’s nothing like me, baby why can’t you see

I’ll never break your heart
I’ll never make you cry
I’d rather die than live without you
I’ll give you all of me
Honey that’s no lie”

Darren looked up at Chris and saw he was crying. It was a beautiful version of a beautiful song that they loved together. Darren took out the champagne and poured them a glass. He set up the sandwiches, and Chris smiled.

“This is an amazing night, Dare.”

“I think so too, love. And it’s only going to get better.”

Darren said, reaching into his pocket and pulling out a black velvet pouch. Chris looked at Darren questioningly and then gasped as Darren got up on one knee, taking Chris’s hand in his. He kissed it softly and started speaking.

“Two years ago, I met someone who changed my life. He made me see that love isn’t always black and white, it’s various colors. That’s what I love about you. Your perception of the world, your blatant optimism, your love for me. You gave me a chance when you had no reason to. You loved me, even when I didn’t know how to. I know, I’m going to sound cheesy using this Klaine euphemism, but you are perfectly imperfect. And I love that most about you. I came back to the one place where our love blossomed, and where we fell harder than two people should. I look forward to starting a journey with you. A beautiful journey. You’re not just my boyfriend, Christopher. You’re my best friend. Now, as such, I’m asking you to do me a favor. Become my husband? Be my permanent forever? I love you, Christopher Paul Colfer…will you marry me?”

Darren opened the velvet pouch to reveal a ring, rather similar to the one that Christopher had given him all those months ago. He looked up at Darren with unabashed tears in his eyes and nodded.

“Yes. Yes Darren, I will marry you!”

Darren slid the ring on Chris’s finger, knowing that in this moment things were perfect. He kissed Chris softly, knowing they had all the time in the world to be together, physically.

A/N: Fucking muses…lmao. Anywho, yeah…song used: ‘I’ll Never Break Your Heart’ by the Backstreet Boys.

Let It Happen...

Okay babies…here it is! I just came up with this on the fly…
A/N: Thanks to my friend on Twitter, Mindy for helping me come up with this. So, we were talking about how Darren just needs to break free of his hold that Mia and his PR people have on him, and this is where the idea came from. It just…snowballed.
“I’m so over this!”
Darren Criss yelled, throwing his iPhone on the table. His boyfriend of close to two years, Chris Colfer was sitting in front of him, in between his legs, when Darren had his outburst. Chris knew it was difficult for Darren to not be public with him, and Darren had confessed to him several times that he was so close to just throwing caution to the wind, and going public, but he couldn’t. Michael had always threatened his career.
“What now?”
“Twitter’s all a tizzy because Mia’s going to the Breaking Dawn premiere. Rumor has it she’s going with me. I’m not even going to the Breaking Dawn premiere, Chris! And if I were, it’d be on your arm. Fuck this shit, I’m so fucking done.”
Darren said, reaching for his cell phone. He needed to put a stop to this, now. It was over. He was so fucking done, but before Chris could stop him, Darren was dialing the number. Chris could see how ripped up Darren was about having to hide their relationship. He was too. He knew that Darren was ready. The interview in Canada told Chris that. He listened and waited for Darren to start talking.
“Michael, it’s Darren. I’m so fucking done, do you hear me. This is what I’m going to do. I’m calling People magazine, and I’m setting up an interview. About what? About how I’m so fucking in love with Christopher that I can’t focus, that’s what. And then I’m going on Ellen. And I’m going to do this. Why? Why? Because I’m done hiding, Michael, that’s why!  I’m slowly losing Chris because of this, and I’m not sacrificing my relationship for my career!”
Darren said, ending the call. He turned to look at Chris and saw the love that was there. Chris was so proud of Darren for taking charge of their relationship. But Chris knew that Darren had fibbed to Michael about the whole ‘slowly losing Chris’ part. Chris watched as Darren made a phone call to his friend at People magazine, meanwhile, Chris was on the phone with his friend at ‘Ellen’. Chris watched as Darren hung up with his friend and smiled at him as he ended his call with his friend on Ellen.
“Who was that?”
“I called Lacey. She’s the talent scheduler at Ellen. She can fit us in at the taping tomorrow.”
“Which is good, because Heather and Lora are coming over in an hour to interview me. Chris, honey. I love you. You know that, and if I were you, I’d be on the phone to Alla right now telling her what’s going on. We’re going to do this, and there’s no turning back from it.”
Chris looked at the older man and pulled him in for a kiss. It was what Darren needed. He answered a knock at Chris’s trailer door and smiled when he’d seen Lora and Heather. They had cameras and notebooks and tape recorders. Chris moved himself away from the crowd and talked to Alla on the phone. Darren hugged Heather and Lora and invited them in. Chris was having an intense conversation with Alla on the phone, and it sounded ugly. He heard Chris end the call with …”this is fucking ridiculous. We’re going through it, and that’s it.”
“So, Darren. What’s the big issue? You said that you were calling us to break some huge news?”
Chris sat down on the sofa next to Darren and Lora readied her tape recorder. Darren looked at Chris and smiled warmly at him. Lora pushed play and identified herself. And then she turned to Darren and smiled.
“So…Darren, you called me and asked me here to interview you because you have something to say…care to clarify that?”
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
“Please welcome my next two guests, Darren Criss and Chris Colfer!”
Darren and Chris knew that this was going to throw people off. The People magazine cover story was set to run Friday, and they knew they needed to back up this story. So, they made their way out to Ellen’s set, holding hands. The crowd was going nuts, as Chris kissed Ellen first, then sat down on the stage.
“So boys, welcome to the show. I have to admit, I am a little confused as to why you’re here. When Lacey said you had something you wanted to say, I immediately agreed. But judging by your positioning with each other, I have an idea. So Darren, the floor is yours.”
“First of all, thank you so much for having us. We appreciate this more than you know. We’ve already contacted People magazine, and had a very in-depth conversation with them, but now we’re here with you, and we’re here to tell you that Chris and I are a couple. And have been for two years now. And we’re living together, and we don’t care who knows.”
And with that, Darren felt more at peace than he did in awhile. And he was happy…this was what he’d wanted.

A Warning

This little..ficlet I guess you could call it…was inspired by Alex Newell’s tweet..and this is what came of it. Thanks to my loves for the help. :-D
A/N: Once again, a conversation between friends on Twitter (because after last night, that’s what we are…) turns into a one shot…
“So did everyone see Alex’s post?”
Chord Overstreet had asked his friends. Everyone looked around the room, but mostly Darren and Chris. They’d known Mia was at the Breaking Dawn premiere last night. They’d skipped it for that reason. Chris and Darren had gone home after a long night of shooting, They climbed into bed and watched CSI reruns because they chose to avoid drama, not be part of it. Darren shifted uncomfortably in his chair. Chris noticed and squeezed his hand, to keep him calm.
“I’m sorry, but someone needs to tell that boy what he’s getting in to. Mia’s a bully. Do you know she bullied me into going to that Halloween party with her?”
“I figured as much. Someone needs to let the new kids know that when Mia’s here, she’s not to be talked to. Every word she says is taken out of context. Every word. You know she came to visit the other day and tried to get me to take her to Darren’s trailer. It was like she knew that Darren and Chris were too busy hooking up in there, and wanted to be a fucking cockblock. I hate that bitch.”
Mark said. Everyone knew Mark was the captain of the CrissColfer ship, and he’d do anything to protect his boys. He knew that Darren and Chris were different with each other, and that’s what made it beautiful. He saw the love dripping from their eyes, and it was enough to make him want to confront Alex himself. Darren looked at his friend and smiled.
“I think it’s all pretty safe to say that a majority of us in this room dislike Mia. And while I think it’s true that Alex needs to know about what she’s capable of, I don’t think that we should do it here. It’s too public. Why don’t Mark, Chris and I get him to come over to our trailer and we’ll get Alex to come over and talk to him about it.”
Darren said. Chris loved how Darren was always the peacemaker. Chris knew his boyfriend well, and could see how his shoulders slumped. If he could just show the world how happy he was…Darren sighed and turned his head to look into the blue eyes of his lover. No, not just his lover, his best friend. Those eyes had the ability to settle down even the most restless thoughts. And that’s what he’d needed. After a rigorous day of shooting, Darren, Chris and Mark made their way back to the trailer. Chord was bringing Alex by, and Darren had planned out what he was going to say. Chris was there, and it relaxed him. A few minutes later, a knock came on the door, followed by Chord Overstreet and Alex Newell. He’d heard the rumors about Darren and Chris sleeping together, but he didn’t know if they’d been true. He’d just met the woman who introduced herself as ‘Darren’s girlfriend’ last night. He came in and smiled at them.
“Hi guys! You missed a hell of a movie last night.”
“I’m sure it was wonderful, Alex.” Darren said, his voice sounding like ice. Chris squeezed his hand and Alex could tell something was wrong. Darren was the one to take the lead on this whole thing, Chris, Mark and Chord were there strictly for moral support.
“What’s with the attitude, Darren? I met your girlfriend. She’s an amazing woman!”
“That’s what we wanted to talk to you about, Alex. She is most definitely not my girlfriend. What she is however is an opportunist. She’s a sad, pathetic excuse who hasn’t got a clue. And she’s a bully. ”
The paraphrased Disney reference didn’t escape Chris. He knew that it calmed Darren down to go to that place, and he was going to let Darren take any means necessary to calm down. Though, hearing Darren say Mia was an opportunist made him smile.
“She doesn’t seem like it. She couldn’t stop gushing about how perfect you were.”
This time, Mark spoke up, giving Darren time to recover. That was the meanest he’d ever heard Darren. And seeing how wound up Mia made him sometimes, made him realize that he was being stretched too thin.
“Alex, dude. Have you seen the pictures from Halloween? She essentially forced him. We’d invited him here to our party. He couldn’t make it. And where was Christopher? Here. At our party. Alone. And miserable. Dude, we’re not telling you not to hang out with Mia. We’re saying just…”
“No, we’re telling you to not hang out with Mia.”
Chord said. It was no secret about his distaste with Mia. He didn’t like her, she didn’t like him. Alex rolled his eyes and sighed sadly.
“Guys, I think you’re overreacting a little bit. We met at the Breaking Dawn premiere. She was sad her Krispie Treat hadn’t made it. She needed at least one Glee star to interview. So, I got it.”
“I hate when she calls me that. Look, Alex…please just be careful. Once you start in her orbit, you get sucked in. I made that mistake once. I fell for her man, and she’s seething inside. She’ll do anything to keep Darren and I apart. Just…keep your guard up.”
Chris said, leading Darren to the bedroom, leaving Alex something to think about. Everyone else cleared out after that to give the boys some privacy.

A Little Bit of Bitchiness

A/N: Because someone on Twitter said they wanted to see Chris’s bitchy side…you’re welcome.
“Is it piss off Chris Colfer day or something?! Jesus Christ!”
Chris yelled. He threw his duffel bag on the floor of his trailer and walked into the bedroom part of it. He knew that he should be grateful that he had an amazing boyfriend who was brave enough to finally go public, and an amazing group of people, and this awesome job, but something just rubbed him the wrong way either. He and Darren had been open at work for awhile, and there wasn’t anything from stopping them from kissing. Darren had leaned over to take a kiss from Chris like he always had, and that’s when he heard it. An extra. Some insignificant lowlife who had the guts to make a comment about Darren and Chris kissing. Darren felt Chris tense up beside him, and shook his head.
“No, babe…it isn’t worth it.”
Darren said, knowing Chris was in full on bitch mode. It was going to take a lot for Chris to come to terms with this. Chris heard the door open and then close and the soft ‘Babe’, he couldn’t find his voice to tell Darren he was in the bedroom. Chris was legitimately pissed off, and wanted nothing more with shooting today. Darren opened the door to the bedroom and noticed Chris’s diva stance.
“Honey.”
“Darren, honestly. Not right now. I really don’t want to have this discussion right now.”
“You’re really going to let some extra dictate your life?”
“No! But since when does it fucking matter who you kiss? If the extras had found out what I did to you last night, and this morning, and about three hours ago, I’m sure they’d be having a fit by now. My life is my life, Darren…and I’m not going to let anyone dictate it.”
“Exactly! So why should you give a shit what other people think, Chris?! That was one insignificant lowlife in a sea of people who support us, and love us. My feelings for you haven’t changed, Christopher. And they never will. I’m putting a ring on it in the fall. Remember? You promised. New York in September is what you’ve always wanted. And I’m giving that to you. So come on, let’s go back to work. We’ll go get some lattes and we’ll stay in and watch ‘Love Actually’.”
“It’s May, Darren. You can’t watch ‘Love Actually’ in May.”
“No way, Jose. You can watch ‘Love Actually’ any damn time you want to. And we’re going to. So come on, drag that cute ass back to set.”
Chris walked over to Darren and kissed him, knowing that Darren was one of the only people who could make a bitch fest disappear completely. And that’s that all he needed. Darren. And their wedding…albeit a secret wedding…in September. Life couldn’t get much better than that.

Chapter 42 of Tease!

A/N: Haha! What a chapter, eh?! I like to think that I did good! So, I have an idea as to how long we’re going here…so we’re gonna get right into it! Shall we?!

Chapter 42

CPOV

After a raucous session of love making with my husband, we realized we had to get back to the real world. There wasn’t anywhere else I wanted to be at that moment, but I had to prepare for the book tour, and Darren had a ton of stuff to prepare for. We knew Mia was flying in to go to the doctor’s to get all of her tests done for her egg retrieval. It was going to take awhile before anything could happen. She had a lot of tests to do, then hormones, and then the retrieval process.

“Babe?!”

“Yeah hon!”

I yelled back. He had limped downstairs to get us something to eat and feed Piper. He’d yelled up at me from the stairs, and I knew something was wrong. I walked away from my emails and headed toward the top of the stairs.

“Honey, your mom’s on the phone. She said it’s kind of important?”

I dashed down the stairs. The first thing I was worried about was Hannah. I made my way downstairs and saw a reverend sitting in a chair by the window in our kitchen. I looked at Darren.

“Babe, why is there a man of God in our house?”

“I invited him. And besides, it isn’t just a man of God. That’s Reverend Schaffer, from down the hall. I think it’s high time we gave the Criss’s, the Colfer’s, most of Team StarKid, and the Glee family what they want. Our beach wedding. We have a few days off coming up, and I figured it would be easy. We did need a reverend, right?”

I nodded. Though I wasn’t too keen on how he got me out of bed. But I’d punish him again later. I joined him at the table, and we discussed plans. We agreed that we’d settle for the end of this week. It was going to be a little hard to pull together what I wanted, but I’d find a way. Reverend Schaffer left some time later, and we got on the phone and called our families. We called the Criss’s first, and I held Darren’s hand.

“Hello?”

“Mama?”

“Darren, darling.”

“And Chris too, Mama.”

I heard Cerina squeal. She loved hearing from both of us at the same time. When we got to be on the same phone call, it was always an adventure.

“To what do I owe the pleasure of Chris and Darren calling?”

“Well Mama, you see. Darren and I realized that we owed you a wedding. And we’re trying to give everyone one. So, Friday…in San Francisco…on Ocean Beach.”

We heard a scream. It was a happy scream, and I knew. She was going to be there, and we’d make sure of it. She was crying by this point, and we needed to end the conversation quick, before she started saying how much she loved us together and all that stuff, so we promised to shoot her details and then continued making calls. Most of the Glee cast would be there, as would a majority of Team StarKid that supported us. We also invited Mia and Delilah who assured us that they would both be there. After we made those calls, I made one of my own. To my friend Leslie who owned an invitation store. I told her what I wanted.

“You know the pattern, Les. The one with the spirals. Yep, that’s the one. I want it to say this. ‘Christopher Paul Colfer and Darren Everett Criss cordially invite you to take part in their love. Friday June 8th at seven p.m.’ And then provide the address to the new place. That’s right. Have it faxed to me, and I’ll approve the final.”

I said hanging up. I walked into the living room and noticed Darren was still on the phone. It sounded like he was talking to someone about music. If he knew anything, he knew music. I waited for him to get off the phone and I smiled when he did. He pulled me over to him and we cuddled on the sofa.

“So, Chris, I was thinking…I wanted to take your name. I mean, I have. Personally on most of my documents, I’m Darren Criss-Colfer. Professionally, I’m keeping my name as-is. But I want the world to know I’m yours.”

“That’s funny. I thought the same thing about you. You see, when I went to my lawyer’s office, I changed my name too. So, I am officially Chris Colfer-Criss. Keeping my name professionally of course.”

He kissed me softly. It was going to be hell for the baby, but we’d work it out, I’m sure. I heard the fax machine go off a little while later, and knew that had to be Leslie with the wedding invitations. And sure enough, it was. I smiled at the invites and took them out to Darren.

“Babe! I called Leslie, and asked her if she could put together some invitations for us. I actually went ahead and picked one! It’s beautiful! Come look!”

I said, waiting for Darren to come into the office. I heard the padding of feet coming down the hall and smiled when he poked his head through the door. Even when he was wearing jean shorts and no t-shirt, he still did things to me. He made his way into the office further, and looked at me. I handed him the paper and watched as his eyes lit up. He looked up at me and smiled.

“Honey, it’s wonderful. I love it! Go ahead with it!”

“You sure?”

“Yes. Now do it.”

I nodded and smiled. We were going ahead with plans for our wedding. I smiled as I looked down at the words on the page, and realized that I couldn’t be any more happier with this man than I was.

“Christopher Paul Colfer and Darren Everett Criss cordially invite you to join in their love. Friday June 8, 2012. 6pm. Ocean Beach, San Francisco, California. 94121.”

I went ahead with everything that had been written and went ahead and had them published. I walked back into the living room and looked at Darren. He had a pen and a piece of paper in his hand.

“Hon, what are you doing?”

“Making a list of who we want to be there. Obviously our families. But then there’s the friends list. I definitely want Theo and Mia, Brian Rosenthal and his girlfriend Emily, Lauren and Nick, Meredith, Brian Holden and his girlfriend, Walker, Joey and Deeds, Bonnie and her fiancĂ©e. Lea and Cory, Kevin, Grant, Jenna, Matt, Harry, Chord, Di, Naya and Matt.”

I looked at him and looked at the list. So much for keeping it small. He was inviting everyone and their brother. I sighed and looked at him.

“Baby, I think it should just be like this. The people we’re closest to. Cerina, Chuck, Chuck and Lucy, Karyn, Tim and Hannah, Theo, Mia, Rosenthal and Em, Lauren and Nick, Meredith, Holden and Kacey, Walker, Joey and Deeds. Di, Matt and Grant.”

“You don’t want Lea and Cory?”

“Of course I do baby, in the wedding. I also need a wedding party. I was thinking Lea, Mia and Delilah for me and Joey, Kevin and Grant for you.”

I was a natural at this wedding planning business, and if I needed work after Glee if the novel and screenwriting thing didn’t work out, I knew where to turn. I saw him pondering the wedding party thing, and then he smiled.

“Yes. Okay, I think we should ask them together. Here. At the house. Do me a favor, call Lea, Mia and Delilah. Especially the last two, because they will be more intertwined in our life than anyone. I’ll call Joey, Kevin and Grant and invite them over.”

I went and grabbed my phone and smiled. Within twenty minutes, everyone was where they needed to be. Darren and I smiled as the six of them sat in front of us. We held hands, and Darren began speaking.

“Thank you guys for being here. Chris and I asked you here today because we have a very important question for you. A question that could make you laugh, cry or just squeal in delight. I’m going to go first. Grant Gustin, Kevin McHale and Joey Richter. We’ve asked you here today to ask if you’ll be in our wedding party.”

The three boys in front of us nodded happily and that’s when we knew. We knew that asking these six people to share our special day with us was the right thing. I smiled and turned to the three ladies in front of me, knowing it was my turn.

“Lea, Mia and Delilah. We are all connected in some way. Especially Mia and Delilah. What I’m asking from you three wonderful young ladies is if you’ll be in our wedding as well.”

I watched the expressions on their faces. Mia wiped away a tear, Delilah looked shocked and Lea was bouncing with excitement. I knew their answers. All three of them nodded at the same time, and I smiled. This was turning out better than I’d hoped. Darren and I celebrated with our wedding party, pulling both Lea and Joey aside privately asking them if they’d be our Best Man and Maid of Honor, which they gratefully accepted. Darren and I smiled as our party dispelled a little while later. Darren and I went our separate ways a little after that, calling our parents and confirming the time, location and date of the wedding. They’d promised to be there, and I smiled. I looked around the tiny office I had, and knew it had to be straightened up. I had so many pictures of Darren and I laying around, I figured now it was time to put them in frames and whatnot and put them around the apartment. I turned on the radio and started singing, not really aware of what was on, until I listened to the lyrics. And I was done, because it was a beautiful song.

DPOV

Chris and I had separate offices. Mostly because he liked things a little more controlled and organized, where I was slightly messy. It was easier that way, but my office was a mess. There was sheet music everywhere, and liner notes for my album, which needed to be done, and AVPT stuff. But what had distracted me, was the voice I’d heard on the other side of the wall and it was singing. I always stopped what I was doing when Chris was singing. I couldn’t help it. I loved his voice. Hell, I adored him, but he didn’t need to know that. I walked out of my office and over to Chris’s and listened to him sing. The song had restarted, and I gasped. It was a beautiful song and I smiled. I walked into the office further and wrapped my arms around his waist, singing with him as we danced.

“I still get lost, caught in a daze
Tongue tied just like the very first day
I saw you and I’m so amazed
Cause the look that got me twisted still hasn’t changed
Your sexy eyes never lie
Baby I lose myself (when they open)
Boy, forget about goin’ out
Baby, I’d rather not (so I’m hoping)”

Chris turned around to look at me, and he was holding a picture. It was a picture of he and I from our first date. We were in one of those cheesy photo booths and he’d kissed my temple, and I knew. We’d had several different pictures in that one, but one in particular stood out. We were looking at each other. Straight in each other’s eyes, and we’d known, even then just how much we meant to one another. The next line of the song was mine, and I couldn’t wait to sing it in Chris’s ear. And I did.

“I can just stare at you forever (oh baby)
I can be here with you, doing whatever (my lady)
It’s not the way you look that brings me to my knees
It’s the way you look at me
I could just stare at you forever
If forever you were staring at me.”

And I led him to the bedroom, where we didn’t come out for awhile. When we did, we went back to separate offices to clean. Chris poked his head into the office awhile later and smiled.

“Babe, you hungry? I put dinner on.”

“Good. I’m famished. Cleaning does that to me.”

“No, sex with your husband does that to you. Now, I have chicken on, so it’ll be ready in about an hour.”

“Okay love, I’ll be down in a little bit.”

I said, watching him nod and walk out. I smiled. I was ordering him a gift for our wedding. I knew he didn’t need anything. He didn’t want anything, but I was giving him something anyway. I picked up the phone on my desk and dialed the number on the website.

“Tiffany & Co. Janie speaking.”

“Hi Janie, I’m interested in a gift for my husband…”

I said, knowing that when he saw the bracelet, he’d probably lose his mind. But I didn’t care. I wanted him to have this, and I was buying one for myself too. I wanted something matching besides our wedding bands, and I figured this would work wonders. After being guaranteed that I’d have it by Friday, I got up and headed into the kitchen. It was dinner time, and time with my man was important.

CPOV

The week kind of went by in a daze. Darren had work to do that was StarKid related, and I caught up on some stuff with my novel and the movie. Finally, Friday was upon us. Darren and I had left separately for San Francisco. He’d left late last night, and I was leaving early this morning. Lea and Mia accompanied me to San Francisco. Delilah had to finish her shift first, and assured us she’d be there by the time the wedding came around. I smiled as we all arrived in San Francisco. Mia had been given hormone shots and Lea looked at her.

“She’s our egg donor.”

I explained. Lea nodded and things were going right. I was reaffirming my love for my husband for the third and final time, this time in front of our friends and family. We were having a baby, everything  was just…amazing. There was a knock at the door and I walked over to answer it. There was a delivery person on the other side, and I was slightly confused.

“Mr. Colfer?”

“Yes?”

“A delivery for you, sir.”

He said, handing me a blue box. I tipped the delivery guy and stared at the box. Lea and Mia looked at me and smiled. They knew. I could tell. Lea never did mischievous well, and Mia just looked guilty. I opened the box and saw a bracelet. It matched my wedding band, and I gasped. I lifted it out of the box and flipped it over, reading the inscription on the back.

“Forever. Always yours, Prince Charming.”

I chuckled softly, and slid the bracelet on my wrist. I grinned, because I knew that Darren was getting the same thing, only the inscription read differently. Mia was examining my face and she giggled.

“Great minds think alike, huh Chris?”

“What?”

“You got Darren the same thing, didn’t you?”

“Yes…I did. Only the inscription is different.”

I said, smiling. I knew what it said, and it meant more to me and Darren, than anyone knew. I finished getting ready and looked in the mirror. The white shirt, and black jeans, boots were simple enough for the wedding. The girls were wearing blue sundresses with yellow sashes. It was a shout out to Darren’s college, the University of Michigan. I smiled as the door opened, and Delilah walked in. The wedding party was now complete, and I grinned at everyone.

“Alright ladies, take your places…it’s showtime.”

I said, kissing all three of them and watching them walk out. I took my place behind them and watched as they made their way down the aisle. I was looking at one thing, and that was Darren. He looked amazing in dark navy jeans and a white shirt and boots. Then the music hit. It was delightful. We didn’t really have a song, but when we were picking out songs, this one hit home. It was something we knew was emotionally moving for us, and it was the perfect choice. Matthew Morrison was singing it for us, and that made it much more sentimental. He started it as I made my way down the aisle, seeing nothing but Darren.

“I had all but given up on finding
The one that I could fall into
On the day before you
I was ready to settle for
Less than love and not much more
There was no such thing as a dream come true
Oh, but that was all the day before you

Now you’re here and everything’s changing
Suddenly life means so much
I can’t wait to wake up tomorrow
And find out this promise is true
I will never have to go back to
The day before you.”

I nodded at Matt in thanks and he smiled at us, and Darren took my hand as I got to the end of the altar. Reverend Schaffer was there and he grinned at us. And it was showtime.

“Dearly beloved. We are gathered here on this beach today to witness the ceremony between Christopher and Darren. This is not a wedding insofar as a recommitment ceremony for their friends and family. I’m honored they chose me to do this for them. When I met Darren and Christopher six months ago, I could see the love they had for each other. When Darren asked me to do this for them, I automatically said yes. We’re doing things a little different, though. The boys want to speak to you guys as their friends and family. So I’m going to let Darren go first, Darren?”

“Thank you Reverend Schaffer. Friends, family. Thank you for being here. April 25, 2010 was the day that changed my life forever. It was the day I met my soul mate, my lover, my best friend. Christopher is my entire life. He’s my forever. And we’re gathered here today to share our love with you. Snow White, my beautiful, beautiful Snow White. I promise you right now in front of our family and friends to never let you fall. To hold you while you cry, and never walk away angry. You’re all I’ve ever wanted in a mate, and I’m honored, blessed and amazed that you chose me.”

I sniffed and went to lift my hand, but Darren had beaten me to the punch. He wiped away the tears that were now falling. He slipped the ring on my finger, kissing my hand softly, and everything I’d written for today had made perfect sense to me now. I smiled and spoke up.

“I guess it’s my turn. April 25, 2010. I didn’t know just how miraculous that day would be. But then you walked into my life, and it felt like everything was right. It brought us here. Friday June 8, 2012. It also brought us to April 28, 2012. When we stood as we are right now, and professed our love for each other. Prince Charming, thank you for loving me as you do. Thank you for being amazing, understanding, kind, patient, and most importantly, loving. This journey wouldn’t be complete without you. I love you, so much.”

I said, sliding the ring on Darren’s finger. I wiped away the tears that were finding their way down Darren’s cheek. Reverend Schaffer smiled, and continued on.

“There’s nothing left to say but by the power vested in me by the great state of California, I now pronounce you husbands. You may now, kiss.”

He said. I pulled Darren to me, kissing him. Our family and friends in attendance made it better. I pulled away from him and smiled, whispering in his ear. I whispered the inscription on his bracelet.

“My life, my love. My forever. Always yours, Snow White.”

He nodded, and walked us up the aisle. Our lives were changing, and it was all for the positive, and we couldn’t wait to celebrate it with our family and friends.

Little White Lie interpretation

Author’s note: I tried resisting. I did! Ugh, I’m  horrible! I need to get this out of my head! So…this is my interpretation of what happens when Little White Lie ends…

Sami Reese stood over Kevin’s bed and sighed. She’d just gotten the offer from Nigel to do the recording and she was going to do it. She’d told Duder to go ahead and make the call to him and do it. Sami hadn’t anticipated him waking up. And here she was…in the hospital room, standing over him.

“S-Sami?”

“Hi Kevin.”

Kevin looked confused as to why Sami Reese was standing over his bed. She pulled a chair over and sat down next to him. She grabbed his hand and sighed. She needed to get this off of her chest, and to tell him what was happening.

“What are you doing here, Sami?”

“Kevin…there is something I need to tell you.”

But before Sami could get it out, the doctors and his aunt came rushing in. Sami managed to keep herself hidden. She disappeared out of the hospital when her cell phone rang. She looked at it and sighed. It was Toby. She wanted to ignore it, but she couldn’t. So she answered it.

“Hello.”

“Sami, hi. It’s Toby…but I think you could see that on your caller ID, anyway…we need to talk.”

“I know. Where are you, I’ll come by.”

“I’m leaving Tanya’s. I’ll be at your garage in fifteen.”

“Okay.”

Sami said, heading out. She’d been unnoticed by both Kevin and his aunt. She strolled out of the hospital and over to her bike. She climbed on, and pedaled back to her house. She needed to tell Kevin the truth. Especially before Nigel asked them to write a song to record. But more importantly, she needed to tell Toby the truth. That was one connection she wasn’t ready to lose though. The way that they had kissed, she could still taste him on her lips. She was groggy, having lost herself in the memory of Toby’s kiss. She hadn’t noticed him standing on the sidewalk in front of her house. She got her wits about her and smiled at Toby. He didn’t smile back though. He looked tired, Sami thought to herself. She threw the kickstand on her bike and walked over to him. She smiled and wasn’t expecting anything. In a sweet gesture, he threw his hand out, and Sami clasped it. They walked a little ways down the street next to this little pond that ran behind Sami’s house. He sat down on the little grassy knoll that was there, and Sami sat down next to him. It took him a few more minutes before he spoke. But when he did, it surprised her.

“Can I kiss you again?”

Sami nodded, and then Toby kissed her again. And it wasn’t as passionate as it was sweet. It wasn’t rushed or forced, it was amazing. Sami felt as Toby put his hands in her hair. Sami enjoyed kissing Toby, that was for sure, and she wasn’t going to stop this time.  She sighed when Toby pulled away from her a little while later and looked at her. He removed his hand from Sami’s hair and took her hand instead.

“That was amazing.”

“It was. So, did you call me just because you wanted to kiss me? Because I won’t object to more kissing.”

Toby laughed. He hadn’t realized just how much he was in love with Sami, until he’d started that song for her. Then it just kind of escalated. He needed to tell her how he felt.

“I’ll kiss you again, eventually. I do need to tell you something though.”

“Okay.”

Sami said nervously. Toby chuckled and ran a hand through his thick curls and then looked Sami in the eyes. He took a breath to steady himself, and then smiled and spoke.

“Sami…I’m in love with you. And I didn’t realize it, until I saw you backstage. I shook your hand after I saw you play, and that was it for me. Then I saw you trying to write that song, and heard the reasoning behind it, and knew my love for you was only running deeper. Sami, what I wrote in ‘Sami’ was true. I meant every word. Every note. Every chord. Tanya and I broke up. Though I never really understood what I saw in Tanya Freemont to begin with. So please Sami, say you’ll be mine.”

Sami sighed. She’d been waiting for someone, anyone to say those words to her. But the fact that Toby Phillips was saying them to her now, was icing on the cake. She couldn’t let herself believe them though. Once Toby found out about her and Duder stealing Kevin’s music, he’d hightail it out of there so fast. So, she placed a kiss on his forehead and stood up.

“I wish it were that easy. I’m keeping a secret from you, Toby. And it’s a big one. One that could shatter everything you just said to me.”…
