A/N: Because someone on Twitter said they wanted to see Chris’s bitchy side…you’re welcome.
“Is it piss off Chris Colfer day or something?! Jesus Christ!”
Chris yelled. He threw his duffel bag on the floor of his trailer and walked into the bedroom part of it. He knew that he should be grateful that he had an amazing boyfriend who was brave enough to finally go public, and an amazing group of people, and this awesome job, but something just rubbed him the wrong way either. He and Darren had been open at work for awhile, and there wasn’t anything from stopping them from kissing. Darren had leaned over to take a kiss from Chris like he always had, and that’s when he heard it. An extra. Some insignificant lowlife who had the guts to make a comment about Darren and Chris kissing. Darren felt Chris tense up beside him, and shook his head.
“No, babe…it isn’t worth it.”
Darren said, knowing Chris was in full on bitch mode. It was going to take a lot for Chris to come to terms with this. Chris heard the door open and then close and the soft ‘Babe’, he couldn’t find his voice to tell Darren he was in the bedroom. Chris was legitimately pissed off, and wanted nothing more with shooting today. Darren opened the door to the bedroom and noticed Chris’s diva stance.
“Honey.”
“Darren, honestly. Not right now. I really don’t want to have this discussion right now.”
“You’re really going to let some extra dictate your life?”
“No! But since when does it fucking matter who you kiss? If the extras had found out what I did to you last night, and this morning, and about three hours ago, I’m sure they’d be having a fit by now. My life is my life, Darren…and I’m not going to let anyone dictate it.”
“Exactly! So why should you give a shit what other people think, Chris?! That was one insignificant lowlife in a sea of people who support us, and love us. My feelings for you haven’t changed, Christopher. And they never will. I’m putting a ring on it in the fall. Remember? You promised. New York in September is what you’ve always wanted. And I’m giving that to you. So come on, let’s go back to work. We’ll go get some lattes and we’ll stay in and watch ‘Love Actually’.”
“It’s May, Darren. You can’t watch ‘Love Actually’ in May.”
“No way, Jose. You can watch ‘Love Actually’ any damn time you want to. And we’re going to. So come on, drag that cute ass back to set.”
Chris walked over to Darren and kissed him, knowing that Darren was one of the only people who could make a bitch fest disappear completely. And that’s that all he needed. Darren. And their wedding…albeit a secret wedding…in September. Life couldn’t get much better than that.
